At the northern end, parking and direct trail access are available at the Green Lake Woods parking lot, located by the Aquatic Center (1100 River Oaks Dr, Calumet City).
The Pennsy Greenway stretches between Calumet City, Illinois, and Schererville, Indiana. (Passports are not required to enter Indiana)
The trail begins at the southern end of the Burnham Greenway on the eastern edge of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County’s Green Lake Woods. The trail proceeds south to Bernice Road, crosses under I-80/94 and continues southeast through residential neighborhoods to just past the Illinois-Indiana state line.The Pennsy Greenway stretches between Calumet City, Illinois, and Schererville, Indiana.
